PLAYING RULES
Strictly no players are allowed to play without a set of uniform (Dark/Light).
Any members of participating teams, including coaches found to be under the influence/smell of intoxicating drinks and or prohibited drugs during the game or on its bench by any member of the committee, shall be suspended for the duration of the tournament. Teams of the said guilty members shall automatically forfeit the game in favor of the opposing team.
Only the coach and team captains shall be authorized to ask clarification regarding time, fouls, substitutions and the like from the game and table officials but must do it in a courteous manner.
GAME RULES AND FORMAT
GAME TIME
Twelve minutes (12) per quarter.
Stop time starts in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter
5 timeouts
- 1 timeout per quarter
- 2 timeouts in the 4th quarter (no carry over in OT)
Shot clock will be used only in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter
Shot Clock - -Twenty four (20) seconds shot clock will be used only on the last five (5) minutes of the fourth (4th) quarter.
Eight (8) seconds backcourt violation - Offense only has eight (8) seconds to cross from back court to front court.
Substitution
First five players play the whole 1st quarter.
Second five players play the whole 2nd quarter.
All players are required to play half of the third (3rd) quarter or equivalent to five (6) minutes.
Fourth (4th) quarter - Open sub.
Fouls
Five (5) personal fouls per player
Five (5) team fouls = team penalty per quarter
● Penalty - two (2) free throws
A technical foul is a personal foul but not be included in the team foul.
* Technical Foul - One (1) Free throw and ball possession.
Flagrant/Unsportsmanlike Foul - Foul committed by a player who has acted against the sportsmanship rules of the game.
● Penalty - Two (2) Free throws and ball possession.
● Cool Off- Any player who will be slapped with a Technical /Unsportsmanlike foul will sit out for two (2) minutes during the game. Cool off period will be suspended during the last two (2) minutes of the game.
Player Injury
If a player is injured, the opposing team will select the substitute.
If injured during league play and missed 4 games, the player can still return for playoffs.
Injuries outside the league do not count toward this exception.
Missing 4 games makes a player ineligible for playoffs and championship.
Uniforms
Jersey must be tucked in.
No jersey = 2pts per player for the opposing team. No jersey = no play in the PLAYOFFS!
Special Game Rules
Camera review allowed only in the last minute of the 4th quarter or overtime (1 challenge per team).
Before jump ball, captains must submit their starting five.
Note
Fighting = Automatic ejection or possible ban (depending on severity). If you start a fight and the opposing player does not react or fight back, you (the aggressor) will be ejected or banned. The opposing player (who did not react) is allowed to stay in the game. Fighting with referees, commissioners, or table officials = Automatic ejection (possible ban depending on severity). Fighting can affect eligibility for special awards.
